MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has actually been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George stated "a number of small companies in Cornwall presently earn money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this type of industry going it does require simply a little bit of lift which is available in the type of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a blend of traditional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
